Our successful Lincoln based client is seeking an experienced Production Manager with a background in CNC Machining & General Fabrications to join them on a full time, permanent basis

They have years of experience supplying fabricated and/or CNC machined components or assemblies to a wide ranging customers and provide a number of services, including; one offs, prototypes or full production runs.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced production manager with several years experience working within CNC machining/precision engineering or general fabrication. You will be adept at managing teams of engineers and production staff whilst meeting targets. Previous experience with Capstan lathes, Bar-feed lathes, milling machines, drills, CNC machining with both lathes and machining centres is preferred as well as having sound knowledge of health & safety codes and practices. A relevant engineering qualification is desirable but not essential.

General Responsibilities
• Execute the process of managing production employees to meet all customer and profitability targets.
• Manage and develop staff and business processes to improve business performance
• Ensure all business is conducted ethically, professionally and in accordance with Health and Safety policy.
• Delivery of set targets and measured against KPI’s
• Ensure site operates efficiently, satisfies customer requirements and makes profit.

Established for over 20 years, our award winning Bury St Edmunds based engineering client requires an experienced and dynamic Welder Fabricator Fitter to join a team of Engineers working on manufacturing/industrial based engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have at least three years relevant work experience, be qualified to minimum ONC/NVQ level as well as having good communication and general fabrication skills. It is essential that the candidate be a team player with good organisational and proven technical skills with the ability to produce high quality work.

The position requires experience in mechanical pipe work installation on both industrial process plant and filling and packing machinery. Coding would be advantageous.

The position is based in various industrial plants in the Suffolk area and sometimes other parts of the UK

Requirements
• 3 years relevant work experience – Fitter Welder Fabricator
• Qualified to ONC/NVQ level or similar
• Skilled in TIG,MIG & MMA
• Pipe work
• Coded Welder (Desirable)
• Experience with – Mild Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium
• General sheet metal & fabrication skills
• Good communication & organisational skills

Salary/Rates are based on experience/qualifications
40 basic hours plus over time rates Rate 1: flat rate x 1.5 Rate 2: flat rate x 2
25 days paid holiday per annum

Overall – the Accounts Clerk / Office Reception Administrator shall form part of the office team and contribute to the daily office routine helping to cover the administrative as well as reception duties. More specifically the role shall encompass various book-keeping tasks and the day-to-day administration of payroll and accounts.

Data input for revenue income
Data input and calculations for all employees
Responsible for the petty Cash reconciliation
Responsible for all payroll and PAYE tasks (using Sage line 50)
Responsible for timesheet calculations / pension uploads & pay runs.
Fuel Reconciliation & data entry
Responsible for all Customs & Excise calculations including German VAT calculations.
To ensure that the office areas are a safe environment and to report any unsafe equipment to the Management Team
To perform any other reasonable duty or task from time to time that may be required by your Manager or the company.

Other Reception Area Duties

To cover reception duties during your hours of work as and when required
To assist in any administrative task as required by the Management team
To undertake typing duties as requested
To count and administer daily money takings and data as required
To administer the data required for internal collection and external organisations, which includes various book-keeping tasks and the day-to-day administration of payroll and accounts.
To answer the telephone promptly and politely, telephoning customers when requested.
To deal with customers at the front desk in a polite and courteous manner including members of staff and Management.
To take messages accurately and pass them onto the relevant person
To accurately take quote information and transfer to the correct operational software.
To undertake photocopying duties as requested
To manage the system of data arriving in both paper and computerised format
To correspond with contacts using both paper and computerised format
To open the reception and office area in readiness for the advertised opening hours as and when required.
To ensure that the reception area is tidy and that leaflets are well stocked
To ensure that posters being displayed are appropriate and to remove any that are not.
To close and secure the office, reception and safe at close of day as and when required.
