Accounts Clerk / Office Reception Administrator
£18,000 – £20,000
Thetford

Overall – the Accounts Clerk / Office Reception Administrator shall form part of the office team and contribute to the daily office routine helping to cover the administrative as well as reception duties. More specifically the role shall encompass various book-keeping tasks and the day-to-day administration of payroll and accounts.

Data input for revenue income
Data input and calculations for all employees
Responsible for the petty Cash reconciliation
Responsible for all payroll and PAYE tasks (using Sage line 50)
Responsible for timesheet calculations / pension uploads & pay runs.
Fuel Reconciliation & data entry
Responsible for all Customs & Excise calculations including German VAT calculations.
To ensure that the office areas are a safe environment and to report any unsafe equipment to the Management Team
To perform any other reasonable duty or task from time to time that may be required by your Manager or the company.

Other Reception Area Duties

To cover reception duties during your hours of work as and when required
To assist in any administrative task as required by the Management team
To undertake typing duties as requested
To count and administer daily money takings and data as required
To administer the data required for internal collection and external organisations, which includes various book-keeping tasks and the day-to-day administration of payroll and accounts.
To answer the telephone promptly and politely, telephoning customers when requested.
To deal with customers at the front desk in a polite and courteous manner including members of staff and Management.
To take messages accurately and pass them onto the relevant person
To accurately take quote information and transfer to the correct operational software.
To undertake photocopying duties as requested
To manage the system of data arriving in both paper and computerised format
To correspond with contacts using both paper and computerised format
To open the reception and office area in readiness for the advertised opening hours as and when required.
To ensure that the reception area is tidy and that leaflets are well stocked
To ensure that posters being displayed are appropriate and to remove any that are not.
To close and secure the office, reception and safe at close of day as and when required.
